Mainfolk

Salons, barbers & studios

Instagram is a feed. It's not a front door.

It doesn't show your prices, it doesn't hold a booking, and it doesn't come up when someone searches for what you do in your town. Mainfolk builds you a real site in about a minute: services and prices, your people, your portfolio, and a booking button on every page, as polished as the work you put out.

Free plan, free forever. Most salons are perfect on Launch at $15/mo. No credit card, no contract.

  • Services & prices up front
  • Books with your scheduler
  • A page per stylist
  • You own it, no lock-in

Feed vs front door

Your work is the best marketing you have. It's sitting somewhere nobody can search.

A social profile is worth keeping. It just cannot do the job a website does, and it never could. You are renting the ground it stands on, and the moment someone types "balayage near me" or asks an assistant for a good barber in town, the feed is not in the room.

A social profile alone

  • No price list, so people message to ask and half of them never do
  • Doesn't rank for the searches that fill a chair
  • An AI assistant has nothing it can cite
  • Booking lives in a link in bio, three taps away
  • The platform owns the audience, and the rules change

A real site, plus the feed

  • Every service and price, readable in one screen
  • Built to rank for what you do, where you do it
  • Structured data and llms.txt so assistants can recommend you
  • A booking button on every single page
  • Your domain, your content, yours to export anytime

Built for the chair

Everything a salon needs, already on it.

The pieces salons, barbershops, spas, tattoo shops, and fitness studios actually use, built in and ready for your words and your photos.

Services & a real price list

Cut, color, extensions, hot-towel shave, the ninety-minute session. Every service with a price or a starting-from figure, and raising them takes seconds.

Booking, front and center

A prominent booking button on every page, pointed at Square, Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, or whatever you already run. You keep your scheduler and your client history.

A page for every stylist

Specialties, portfolio, and their own booking link. Clients follow people, not businesses, and a page per person gives search engines more to match.

A portfolio that loads fast

Your best work, sharp on a phone and quick even on a bad connection. The gallery is the sale, so it is built not to make anyone wait.

Hours, parking & the map

When you are open, where to park, and a tap-to-navigate map. The practical details a new client checks before they commit to the appointment.

Announcements & openings

A cancellation you want to fill, a new stylist taking clients, holiday hours, or a promotion. Post a site-wide banner in seconds and pull it just as fast.

See it live

Oak Ave Barber

A classic neighborhood barbershop, generated end to end by Mainfolk: services and prices, the story of the place, hours, and a path to book. Open it on your phone, run a speed test, navigate it with only the keyboard.

The proof

Don't take our word for it. Open one and judge it.

Every word, color, and layout on that site was produced by the same engine that will build yours, from a short brief and nothing else. It is live right now, not a mockup in a slide deck. If it holds up on your phone, yours will too.

Start free

The honest price

Less than a single walk-in, and no setup fee, no per-page charge, no surprise renewal hike.

$15/mo

Questions

Asked and answered.

I already have Instagram. Why do I need a website?

Instagram is a feed, not a front door. It does not show your price list, it does not hold a booking, it does not rank when someone searches for a balayage specialist in your town, and an AI assistant cannot cite it. A real site on your own domain does all four, and it is yours rather than rented from a platform that can change the rules next quarter. Keep the feed. Add the front door.

Do I have to publish my prices?

You do not have to, but the evidence is fairly one-sided: a visible price list filters out the people who were never going to book and reassures the ones who were. You can publish exact prices, a starting-from figure, or a range per service. Whatever you choose is click-to-edit, so raising prices takes seconds rather than an email to a developer.

Can people book through the site?

Yes, through whatever scheduler you already use. Mainfolk puts a prominent booking button on every page pointing at Square, Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, Calendly, or your own link. You keep your scheduler, your deposits, and your client history. We just make booking impossible to miss.

Can each stylist have their own page?

Yes. Give every stylist, barber, or artist a profile with their specialties, their portfolio, and their own booking link. Clients follow people, not businesses, and a page per person also gives search engines more to match against a specific search.

What does a salon website cost?

Start free, forever, on a mainfolk.com address. Launch is $15 a month for your own domain name with no Mainfolk badge, which is where most salons and studios land. No contract, no setup fee, and hosting, the security certificate, and updates are included. See the full pricing page.

Who else is this for besides hair?

Barbershops, nail and lash studios, spas and med-spas, tattoo shops, massage therapists, pilates and yoga studios, and personal trainers. Anywhere the business is a service, a price, a person, and a booking, the same structure fits.
