Accessibility statement
How Mainfolk builds to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, how we verify it, and how to reach us if something doesn’t work.
Last updated: July 20, 2026Our commitment
Mainfolk is built by Champlin Enterprises, LLC for the organizations that make a town — including public bodies that must serve every resident. Accessibility is an engineering requirement here, not a feature tier.
The standard we build to
We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard the DOJ’s ADA Title II rule points to, on mainfolk.com and in the website platform our customers publish with.
What that means in practice
- Contrast-checked color systems, including automatic text-color computation for customer brand palettes in light and dark modes.
- Semantic HTML structure — real headings, landmarks, and labels.
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus.
- AI-generated, editable alt text on uploaded images.
- Reduced-motion support.
- Labeled forms with clear errors.
How we verify
We run automated axe-core WCAG 2.1 AA audits across our marketing pages and representative live customer sites. Our latest full audit, July 20, 2026, covered 18 pages and found zero violations of any severity. We rerun audits after styling changes.
Scope and limitations
Customer-authored content — uploaded documents, third-party embeds — can introduce issues outside our rendering engine. We give customers accessible defaults and flag what we can, but each entity remains responsible for the content it publishes.
Feedback
If any Mainfolk-served page gives you trouble with assistive technology, email [email protected] and we will fix it or provide the information another way. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
