About Mainfolk

Most websites don’t need to be this hard.

A fire station, a corner café, a country church — none of them run an IT department. So why does their website act like they do? We built Mainfolk to end that.

The problem

The website that needs a website guy.

WordPress and the tools like it were built to be everything for everyone — dozens of plugins, constant updates, security patches, PHP versions, nightly backups, and a login that gets attacked at 3 a.m. Miss one update and the site breaks. Miss the wrong one and it gets hacked.

For most places, that’s a second job nobody signed up for — and a bill for features they’ll never touch.

The headaches we take off your plate
  • Plugin updates that break the page
  • Security holes and hacked pages
  • Slow, bloated load times
  • Yearly bills for bloat you don’t use
  • A dashboard no one on staff understands
The idea

Five things. Not fifty.

Safe

Nothing to hack. No plugins, no admin login to break into, no server to patch.

Secure

Every page served over HTTPS, hardened by default, on real infrastructure.

Fast

Clean pages on a global edge network. They load instantly, everywhere.

Compliant

Built to the WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standard, structured so Google and AI assistants can read it.

Easy to edit

Click any part of your page and change the words or photos — from your phone, in plain language.

That’s the whole list. So that’s what we built.

The name

Why we call it Mainfolk.

It’s two words. Main — as in Main Street: the diner, the hardware store, the firehouse, the church on the corner. The places a town is actually made of. And folk — the people who run them. The chief, the pastor, the owner who flips the sign to Open every morning.

Put them together and you get the main folks — the ones who make a town a town. That’s who we build for. That’s the whole idea, in a single word.

Websites for the folks who make a town.

Every town runs on people who show up. They deserve a website that shows up too.
