Is the free plan really free?
Yes, free forever rather than a trial. Your site lives on a mainfolk.com web address with a small "Made with Mainfolk" note in the footer, and hosting, security, and updates are all included. No credit card is required to start, and nothing expires. Upgrade whenever you want your own domain name or more AI help, and everything you have built comes with you.
Is there a setup fee or a contract?
Neither. There is no setup fee on any plan and no contract on any plan. Everything is month to month and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel, your site keeps working on the Free plan rather than being taken down.
What do I save by paying yearly?
Two months. Yearly billing is ten times the monthly price rather than twelve, so Launch is $150 a year instead of $180 and Civic is $990 a year instead of $1,188. Monthly and yearly include exactly the same features, so pick whichever suits your budgeting.
What is included at every tier?
Hosting, the SSL security certificate, worldwide fast delivery, platform updates and security patching, accessibility engineered to WCAG 2.1 AA, and search plus AI-assistant optimization. Those are not add-ons and they are not priced separately, including on the Free plan.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
It keeps working on the Free plan. We never take a site down or hold it hostage. You can also export everything, your pages, words, images, form submissions, and subscribers, at any time, free, on any plan.

Yes, and you do not need an account or a credit card to get one. Request a quote and we will send a written quote, a W-9, and a PO-ready document for a board vote. At about $1,188 a year, the Civic plan also sits under every state's competitive-bid threshold, so no RFP is normally required.
How does this compare to Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress?
